The Palisades Equestrian Center

Here's the latest - May 28, 2009

It's definitely official - we're settled at The Palisades! We're busily making everything work smoothly. It's a beautiful facility and all the horses are happy. The Palisades is perfectly suited for horse sales, training and full-service boarding. It's quiet and peaceful environment offers its horses an idyllic place to live.

We're operating the three barns now, so if The Palisades doesn't fit your needs - check out the others! There's one for children (and their parents) riding in all disciplines from western pleasure to jumpers. Another that is ideal for the jumper/eventing competitor and The Palisades. Call Ivy to learn more about boarding and training with Katanuma!

We've expanded - giving us more stalls and opportunities for owners with horses for sale and horses/riders in training. The Palisades offers excellent training and care facilities. We'll still manage our current stables just 2 miles up the road too and will teach (haul ins welcome) at both locations. Please call Ivy for information on training and sales at 704.965.1407.

Note that The Palisades Equestrian Center will no longer opperate as a lesson horse barn. All horses on-site are privately owned and the stable is not be open to the general public.

Thanks to everyone who made it out to the HomeArama exhibition on Sat.

It was a great opportunity to see Ivy and Ann Bass' Hopeful Dreams in all their dressage finery!  Not to mention the chance to see a little friendly jumping competition with Ivy and Kat against Sarah and Regal.  Everyone had a good time - especially the horses!

August 2008

After much thought and consideration to our happily settled ponies, we've decided to stay in our comfortable home at Two Shannon's Farm.  Everyone here is so gracious and friendly that we just couldn't leave! Haul in lessons are welcome and off site lessons too - schedule allowing. Ivy will still be available to teach and coach Palisades' boarders.

The Palisades Equestrian Center will be part of a premier luxury community. The Ranch, the neighborhood that will surround the stable, will be the site of the 2008 HomeArama show.  Homes built in The Ranch community will have the ability to house 1-2 horses with access to a community ring and trails.
